Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using RePaw, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. The Platform

RePaw is a peer-to-peer marketplace for buying and selling pre-loved and boutique pet clothing. We connect buyers and sellers but are not a party to transactions between them.

3. Seller Responsibilities

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, shipping items promptly after sale, and describing the condition of items honestly. Misrepresentation may result in account suspension.

4. Buyer Protections

RePaw offers buyer protection on all completed transactions. If an item significantly differs from its description or does not arrive, contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date.

5. Prohibited Items

You may not list items that are counterfeit, recalled, or unsafe for animals. Listings violating these rules will be removed and repeat offenders may be permanently banned.

6. Fees

RePaw charges a platform fee on each completed sale. Current fee rates are displayed during listing creation and at checkout. We reserve the right to update our fees with reasonable notice.

7. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or harm other users. You may also delete your account at any time from your settings.

8. AI-Generated Content on RePaw

We use AI tools to assist with some marketing copy and to create some of the illustrations that appear on this site. Product descriptions, prices, seller information, and factual claims about the platform are reviewed by a human before publication. We do not use AI to fabricate customer reviews, endorsements, testimonials, or user-generated content, and we do not use synthetic performers in our advertising.

9. Your Content and AI

You may not post reviews, listings, product photos, or descriptions that are generated in whole or in substantial part by artificial intelligence without clearly and conspicuously disclosing that fact. Product photos must depict the actual item you are selling — AI-generated, stock, or manipulated imagery presented as your own item is prohibited. Fake reviews, including AI-generated ones, are also prohibited under the Federal Trade Commission's Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials (16 CFR Part 465). We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this rule. To report suspected undisclosed AI-generated content, email hello@repaw.com.

10. Automated Assistants

If you interact with an automated assistant, chatbot, or generative AI feature on RePaw, we will clearly and conspicuously identify it as an AI. You may ask at any time whether you are speaking with a human, and we will answer honestly. RePaw does not currently operate any consumer-facing chatbot; this section reserves how any future automated assistant will behave.

11. AI Training and Model Development

We do not currently use your personal information or the content you upload to RePaw to train third-party generative AI models. If this ever changes, we will update our Privacy Policy and, where required by law, obtain your consent or provide an opt-out.

12. Reservation of Rights

All content on RePaw — including illustrations, marketing copy, code, and the arrangement of listings — is owned by RePaw or its licensors. You may not scrape, index, republish, or use any part of RePaw to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models without our prior written consent.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

RePaw is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RePaw and its founders, employees, and affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or data, arising out of your use of the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the greater of $100 or the fees you paid to RePaw in the six months before the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify RePaw and its founders, employees, and affiliates against any claims, damages, or costs arising from your use of the platform, the content you post, or your violation of these Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of RePaw after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
